Some of the services the Town Clerk's Office provides, include:

• Selling New York State Licenses (Dog, Conservation and Marriage).
• Issuing handicap parking permits (for Riga residents only).
• Collecting Town and County taxes. (January 1st - May 31st)

• Performing state-required services for the election process.
• Posting legal notices, filing and maintaining a book of local laws and maintaining minutes for support boards and committees.
• Free Notary Services. 
• Lodge Rentals.
• The Town Clerk is available to perform your Civil Marriage Ceremony within the township.

Notice:
The Town Clerk, Kimberly Pape will receive taxes for the Town of Riga at the Riga Town Hall , 6460 Buffalo Road , Churchville , New York , beginning January 1, 2012 through May 31, 2012. Office hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Wednesday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm 

Full Payment Instructions:
January 1st - February 10th - Pay full amount of tax bill
February 11th - May 31st - Pay total tax plus interest

Interest Schedule:
February 11th - 28th - 1.5%
March 1st - 31st - 3%
April 1st - 30th - 4.5%
May 1st - 31st - 6%

Installment Payment Instructions:
The first installment must be paid by February 10^th. If first installment is not paid by February 10, total bill plus interest is due

Jan.1–Feb 10:    Pay 1^st installment, any payment on or before February 10 is interest free

Feb.11-Feb. 29: 2^nd installment due with 1 ½% interest

Mar. 1–Mar 31:   3^rd installment due with 3% interest. If 2^nd installment was not paid by Feb. 28, both the 2^nd and 3^rd installments are due with 3% interest

Apr. 1 - Apr. 30:  4th installment due with 4.5% interest.If prior installments are not paid by respective due dates, all installment shall be paid as one unti with 4.5%  interest.

After May 31, 2012, all unpaid taxes will be returned to Monroe County Treasury, P.O. Box 14420 , Rochester, New York 14614
